Here's my answer:
In my 20+ years of practice, I have alway done some therapy on the phone to accommodate certain client requests and circumstances.
While many people prefer to work "face to face" on a secure video platform, working on the phone can be a surprisingly effective way to have a therapy session. Personally, I am auditory learner, meaning I learn best by listening as opposed to seeing/reading. Being on the phone allows me to have the freedom to focus only on what's being said and tone of voice. There's a quiet internal focus that comes with being on the phone.

How does having my therapy session on the phone benefit you as a client?
Working on the phone gives you more flexibility. You don't have to show up to an office or be "Zoom Ready" to have our appointment.

I encourage clients to make sure they have a quiet, undistracted place to take our call. Some people like to lay down and close their eyes, some people take a walk...whatever works best for you to be able to "turn inward" and really be present.

Phone sessions work well for people travel often or don't have any quiet place to be except their car!
You also get the benefit of my presence because I am comfortable and most energized working this way.

We can also do a combination on video and phone sessions according to your needs and wants on any given day.
